2012-2013 Winter CSA
The Winter CSA is now CLOSED for any additional memberships.
Our winter CSA will start on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 and extends for (6) distributions, every third week on Tuesdays until March 12, 2013. (Pickup dates are November 27, 2012, December 18, 2012, January 8, 2013, January 29, 2013, February 19, 2013 and March 12, 2013). The vegetables we have for each distribution are primarily winter storage crops like potatoes, beets, carrots, radishes, and cabbage. We plan to supplement these vegetables with cool weather harvested crops like scallions, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. When the weather permits, we plan to harvest leafy greens from our greenhouses, these can include baby kale, parsley, lettuce greens, and baby bok choy.
Our 'boxes' can average about 18 to 20 lbs. in net weight. As with all our CSAs, we try to give good value for the cost of your membership. The cost of the 2012-2013 Winter CSA is $265, prepaid at registration.
Members are responsible for picking up their shares on the designated days between the hours of 12 noon and 6:00 PM. You may designate a friend or family member to pickup your share if you are unable to do so yourself. Please bring your own carry bags to pack up your shares.
We will donate any unclaimed winter CSA shares the day following the day of distribution. Since our office is open intermittently during the winter months, we can not coordinate alternate pickup arrangements. You must keep this in mind if you are uncertain about your ability to pickup your shares on these dates.
If you wish to be considered for a subsidized winter CSA share, (i.e. because of income considerations, or personal circumstances), please contact us directly in confidence: info@sangleefarms.com If on the other hand, you wish to subsidize a winter CSA member, you may voluntarily pay more than the designated amountt by indicating that on your application form or contacting us at the email address above.
All correspondence will be via email so be sure to check it regularly for information or updates.
