FARMSTAND RETAIL SALES

Part Time / Full Time 20-40 hours/week | 3-5 days a week including some weekends days

Mid April - Mid November (flexible)

Seeking those interested in becoming a part of our dynamic and bustling farmstand retail operation. Desire to learn the marketing/sales side of a farm business as well as a CSA, farmer markets, farm kitchen and a growing home delivery business. Must be highly motivated to not only learn and work efficiently, but to sell our products to customers, create and finesse veggie displays, and be attentive to details.

Other skills required:

  • Inventory, stock and merchandise product

  • Trim, package and present fresh foods with attention to detail

  • Create samples  and tastings with attractive displays and attention to health department codes.

  • Ability to initiate and work independently

  • Experience with shopkeep/ipad sales

  • Vegetable and plant knowledge helpful

  • Ability to handle crates of vegetables up to 30 lbs and willingness to work in all kinds of weather

  • Passion, and knowledge and willingness to teach others about organic farming, the environment, healthy eating and specifics about our farm’s history and growing methods.  


NURSERY & FARMSTAND POSITION

Seasonal position with possible part time position after Labor Day. Must have full availability in May / June when plants are bountiful!

Part Time. one weekend day a must.

Seeking an edible plant lover knowledgeable about vegetable plants, culinary and medicinal herbs, container gardens, herb gardens & more. Ability to provide excellent customer service a must with ability to be welcoming, knowledgeable and inspiring.

This is a great position for someone interested in experiencing many aspects of the farm, including greenhouse, field, nursery and retail areas.  Responsible for all aspects of caring for plant material in the retail area, as well as coordinating and assisting with all retail sales in farm stand.

FARMSTAND RETAIL ASSISTANT MANAGER

CURRENYLY FILLED FOR 2024

Full Time 40 hours/week | Flexible, one weekend day a must | 2-3 days on Farmstand, 1-2 days at Markets

April - November with additional opportunity possible in winter months

Join our family farm and be part of a team committed to excellence in product,  customer service and attention to detail. Seeking a retail assistant manager who organizes the flow of product, staff and customers through the retail shop on the days that our manager is off.  Must have the ability to communicate clearly, work quickly, and creatively, to provide excellent customer service. and to build a team that can work seamlessly. Must be able to manage a small team and delegate tasks, while taking direction from farmstand manager and farm manager. Great position for someone new to management with little experience.

PRODUCE DISPLAY: Inventory, stocking, merchandising of produce, prepared foods & grocery items with attention to detail and presentation of these items.

MARKETING  and SALES : Identify and prioritize items for promotion and execute a plan with staff.  Create appropriate signage and displays. Provide farm history and growing methods and seasonal produce availability to all customers as needed, especially new ones. Instruct customers regarding produce cleaning and storage, how to use/ cook  and recipe ideas. Provide tastings and samples with attractive displays and attention to health department codes.

WORKING WITH OTHERS: Ability to initiate and work independently. Ability to effectively direct and delegate tasks to staff in an organized, productive way. Ability to provide guidance and problem solving support to team members. Ability to coordinate with staff in other departments to provide

SKILLS RECOMMENDED: Knowledge and experience with organic farming, healthy cooking, and healthy lifestyle. Interest in teaching others about organic farming, cooking and the specific aspects of our farm. Experience with ‘shopkeep’ point of sale. Ability to handle crates of vegetables up to 30-40 lbs regularly. Enjoy very active work with a willingness to be out in all types of weather.
