June is the first month where we get to harvest our first veggies and fruits from the plants outside in the field! Asparagus, strawberries, seedless cucumbers, and sugar snap peas are bountiful and waiting for lessons, crafts, and snacks.

Spring Foragers: May Sessions

May is an exciting time on the farm and in the greenhouses! The soil is being turned from the dead of the winter to expose the life and critters underneath. The bees are hungry for flowers nectar and the bunnies are emerging from their burrows! The farmers are busy harvesting from the greenhouses and planting the first veggies in the field. It is a great time of year to see the transition from winter to spring, and a fun time for kids to explore life re-emerging in all areas of nature.

STRAWBERRY DAY EXPERIENCE FOR KIDS

Saturday June 11th . 10am-12pm

Ages 6-10

$50 per person 

Join us during the heart of strawberry season and give your child the opportunity to pick their own fruit and enjoy the fruits of their labor. They will learn more about strawberries, make and enjoy a strawberry dessert, and explore the wonder and awe of the farm! Spring scavenger hunts and more activities based on ages of group. Children will bring home a pint of strawberries they harvest themselves along with a sampling of other spring crops from the farm!

INTERMEDIATE HERB WORKSHOP: THE MAGIC OF MUGWORT

Join Kayla for a grounding, heart opening and magical afternoon as you cultivate a deeper relationship with one herb at a time. During each workshop we will dive deep into the characteristics and history of the herb. We will utilize all of our senses and tune into how this herb interacts within our body; how we feel and what we are thinking. You will learn how to properly identify and harvest the herb (wild or cultivated) and utilize specific techniques to extract and preserve its medicine. You will walk away from this class with an understanding of the complexities of using this herb for healing and the confidence to create your own herbal medicine that you can safely use throughout your life.
